Once i was a employee, in job time Lord permitted me to plant 2 village churches, in 1994 my self and my wife both were left our jobs and dedicated to do the full time church planting work. Lord blessed this work to many villages. Now the ministry is working with 20 ministers, in church planting work. Because they are in planting work they are facing many troubles in their living. So they are facing many hardships. Even though our faith is doing great work in some times. And also we are with 2 short term bible schools and working hard. We are thinking and praying to affiliate this ministry with some good ministry for good growth. There are many many chances to do more work in new grounds to win souls. We are welcoming the mission leaders, ministers, and visitors to join with us to do some part for the glory of God.

We are trying to raise the local sources and funds to encourage them. India our country is not fit to raise the funds for all, So they are facing many hardships. Hardships are part and parcel of being a Christian, it is promised in many places in Scripture. Here is what Paul said he was going through;

(2Co 11:24) Five times I was given the thirty-nine lashes by the Jews;

(2Co 11:25) three times I was whipped by the Romans; and once I was stoned. I have been in three shipwrecks, and once I spent twenty-four hours in the water.

(2Co 11:26) In my many travels I have been in danger from floods and from robbers, in danger from my own people and from Gentiles; there have been dangers in the cities, dangers in the wilds, dangers on the high seas, and dangers from false friends.

(2Co 11:27) There has been work and toil; often I have gone without sleep; I have been hungry and thirsty; I have often been without enough food, shelter, or clothing.

(2Co 11:28) And not to mention other things, every day I am under the pressure of my concern for all the churches.

(2Co 11:29) When someone is weak, then I feel weak too; when someone is led into sin, I am filled with distress.

Now as far as the need for finances to sprad the Gospel, Chrit said this when sending out the diciples;

(Mat 10:7) And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

(Mat 10:8) Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

(Mat 10:9) Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

(Mat 10:10) Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

(Mat 10:11) And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

(Mat 10:12) And when ye come into an house, salute it.

(Mat 10:13) And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

(Mat 10:14) And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Thanks
RC

RC, I'm really not sure what your post means other than quoting some Scripture. Yes, hardships will come but is someone not allowed to ask for support for their ministry? Do you receive a salary? Do you have budgets setup in your church for other ministries? I see missionaries all over who are seeking support for works just as the OP suggested.

To the OP, I know nothing of your work or who you are affiliated with in order to make an informed decision on my end.

No, from what you post I would say that you are doing nothing wrong.

It is just that we, as ministers, cannot let monitary concerens dictate how, and whether we spread the Gospel.

Thanks
RC

Got a problem with Scripture that is relevant to the subject being discussed?

quote:

Do you receive a salary?

Actually that would be none of your business, but no, I do not receive a salary.

Thanks
RC

First, no problems with Scripture being quoted.

Second, it's a fair question to ask as most ministers do receive a salary. Asking how much would be none of my business
