Thanks for the list. I was sure he had written quite a few songs, but I wasn't sure which ones and who had recorded them.

Was wondering if anyone saw Gold City this weekend . Chris West is supposed to be filling in for 2 weeks. Was just wondering how he sounded. I think he would be a great fit.

I saw them that weekend in Greenwood, S.C. He is a good bass singer and is a good fill in and a very nice guy I talked to him for a while after the concert but you can't replace Tim Riley so I am still for Tim staying. He is a good bass singer but out of all of them I wish Aaron was still there.

As Volsfan hinted at above, Chris Cooper is no longer with Gold City.

Weeelll...I guess I would have to disagree. Yes it is disapointing the group is having another change but for it to be big they would have had to be a big part of the group. The tenor is a big part but Chris was still a new member, no dis-respect intended.

Wow, that has to be a record for the shortest tenure for a tenor!

No I can't remember the guys name with the Cats but he was there for a shorter period.

I certainly wish Chris and Gold City as well the best and pray that they each find what they are looking for!

Could give me where that came from? Another site I go to said Chris West...not Cooper. Chris West was the bass singer that seemed to have been alternating with Tim.

I cannot tell you who told me originally or who I received confirmation from before I mentioned it, but Danny Riley has now confirmed it with SoGospelNews.

I can't find any confirmation on sogospelnews...and I have been looking at off and on for two days. And neither is there any mention of it on Gold City's site. But, they still have never mentioned Aaron leaving months ago either on it. Weird.

Gold City hasn't communicated much on its website in several months. I think Daniel is blogging on Twitter. Other than that, they've been mum. It's sad to see this great quartet go through tough times like this.

I would like to see Gold City get back on track again. I have been a fan of thiers since the begining. It seems like they have been just hanging on for the last 2 years. But I'm sure they will be back strong one day. Maybe 2010 ?

30 year anniversary- Tim holding down the bass part (this is only my opinion) for that year would be totally awesome!!! A great anniversary present for the many fans!

With Tim on the bass, and I'm sure a good tenor on the horizon, 2010 looks like a great year. Add in a tremendous lead singer and terrific baritone and the Oak Ridge may not be the only ones say 'The Boys are back!'

Just looked at the GC schedule, they are in Gainesville, GA 1/30 and Easley, SC 2/5 I should be able to make one or both of those dates. Looking forward to hearing them.

Maybe for 2010 they were able to pursuade Jay and Jonathan to come back and then get Tim to stay around on bass!!!! Now for me, that would make me the happiest SG fan out here!!!!

I don't see that happen, but if dreaming is allowed, I would love to see them back with Gold City. I think new years are times people re-evaluate their lives. This reminds me of the 1992-93 period, and after some fits and starts, that turned out alright. Fortunately, for us all, God has a habit of making things work out right for those who love Him. About the best we can do is to just keep praying for Gold City and its singers and musicians, and wish the best for Chris Cooper and the others that have left.

They don't exactly stay on top of things. The picture on their website still has Aaron and Steve in it!!!!

I think former Kingsmen tenor Chris Collins would be a great addition, if he wanted to get back into SG music full time.
