Agreed. Sad news. Doug is asking who should L5 hire as their new tenor.

Not sure what's he's doing but Scott Rogers of N'Harmony and Crossway fame would be a good fit.

I'm not sure L5 could handle another Scott! LOL!

*BAWLING* ... I just don't have any words!! I LOVE Frank...If you haven't already guessed! No one will ever be able to fill his shoes, IMO! He's far too awesome. I wish him luck in his next ministry, but I'm probably the saddest person on earth right about now.

I feel your pain Katie! I don't want Frank to leave either, but I do respect him for wanting to be at home right now. (You never know . . . maybe he'll come back in a few years! ) But he will be deeply missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope Scott hires Jodi Hosterman, he'd be a perfect fit for them.

MsJudy I agree Jodi would be a perfect fit for Legacy Five! He fits their recent picks for tenor. A more mature person that has been around and seen a few things in his time. Jodi also has terrific voice, he would sound great on a song like "I Stand Redeemed" the ultimate L5 tenor song!

Hi there,

Who is Jodi Hosterman? Is he available? Would he apply for the position of tenor with Legacy Five?

All the best!

Jodi Hosterman sang for the Kingdom Heirs about five or six years ago. He is currently singing for the Skyline Boys... Here is a youtube video of him singing a soft ballad with the SK Boys I could totally hear him singing "Peace When I Leave It In Your Hands" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TGLnScAqw0

Hi there,

You say that Jodi is presently singing with a group. Has he resigned from that group? Legacy Five can't just poach someone from another group, surely! It would be unethical and unChristian. Scott will be looking for someone who is wanting to leave their group or who is currently not with a group, don't you think?

Have a good day.

I don't feel that way, dagogga. I wouldn't have to resign my job to apply somewhere else. Preachers don't have to resign before talking to other churches about a possible call. I just think it needs to be handled respectfully.

I'd love to see Jodi with L5. Are the Skyline Boys full-time?

Hi there!

Have I got this wrong? I feel it is great if a singer approaches a group (while still part of his current group) and evinces interest in joining the other group (you don't resign until you have another job). But would a group who needs a singer, approach someone who is singing in another group (e.g. Jodi) and ask him to consider joining their group (e.g. L5), while that person has shown no inclination to leave his group? Is that standard practice? Please enlighten me.

Have a lovely day!

All the best!

I am not sure about the common practice in Southern Gospel. I do know that with a preacher of a church other churches have been known to approach a preacher that is currently the pastor at another church and offer him their pastorate. I actually don't think Scott would approach Jodi... I think that if Jodi is interested he will let Legacy Five know of his interest in trying out. And then if Legacy were to reciprocate that interest then Jodi would go to his current employer and say "Hey I am going to Try out for the Legacy Five Tenor position." That would probably be how it would work IF Jodi were interested in the job. And If he is Scott should listen because Jodi is a terrific tenor!

Hi there, L5BBFan,

Thank you for your answer and also for posting the link to the YouTube video in which Jodi sings. He seems to put a lot of passion into his singing, which I like. I suggest we pray that God sends Legacy Five the right person, and also that He will lay it on the heart of that person to try out for the position.

Have a great day, and take care.

All the best!

I would not mind seeing Tony return either... But I don't think it will happen. I do know that the Jarman family is moving out of Virginia though. I heard that last week. Who knows it could happen, I would not mind seeing Brent Mitchell of N'harmony join...

I think Jodi Hosterman would better than anyone with L5. He knows their music, has an Awesome voice, and has great stage presence.

I would love to see Steve join Legacy Five... But do you really think he would leave one major quartet in april or may (whenever he left Gold City) only to join another (L5) that travels just as much... As much as I would personally love it since Steve is one of my favorite Tenor singers... I don't see it...
