Actually we got to hear Gus sing with L5 in Pigeon Forge TN. His voice blends well, he hits the high notes with out a struggle, knows the words to the songs and although he is not Frank, he is very good. Just hope he has a sense of humor!

Thanks for the welcome. I love to hear Legacy Five sing, they are my favorite group! Wish I could go to hear them more often. Work gets in the way of so many things. Thanks again.

I'd love to see L5 more often also, but our area doesn't get a whole lot of SGM. I usually get to see L5 once or twice a year if I'm lucky, so I feel your pain! When is the last time you saw L5?

They have a blog - go here-- http://legacyfive.wordpress.com/. You will find all the information there plus other fun stuff. Tim Parton is doing the 'stuff' for L-5 I notice that Priority Quartet now has an ad for a tenor!! Gus isn't going to start singing with L-5 until New Years Eve.

I know I am old, but I could not find a link to Debbie Bennett's post, In His Grip on the Legacy 5 website. Did I just miss it?

I got to hear L5 in TN during Gospel Month at Dollywood, with Gus and it was a packed house at the Show Street Palace. I don't mind telling you how old I am, in fact I am old enough to be my favorite bass singer's mother! I only have a couple more years to work and then I want to retire. I plan to volunteer to take folks to hear Southern Gospel Music! I know a man that has a CDL license, and will volunteer as well. I don't want to earn money, from this, I just everyone to have a chance to go and hear L5 sing. A couple of years ago I was at L5's Labor Day Celebration and we were sitting around a coffee table, just having a good time and a lady from another state asked how much we paid for our tickets. When I told here I drove and what our tickets at Opryland had cost us, the color drained from her face. She had come with a "church" group and had paid a BIG fee. This does not seem right to me. Told her next time she could ride with us!

Hey folks, keep the L5 guys in your prayers.. I got Scott's Facebook update earlier saying that they were broke down on the side of the road about 15 miles outside of Springfield, IL. I'll just copy/paste his FB updates so it doesn't get too confusing.. 6:37 PM "Scott Fowler is broke down on the side of the road. Radiator is leaking on the bus. hope we can make it to Praise Fest...that's such a great event." 7:18 PM "Scott Fowler is still broke down. Seems our auxillery air tank is not holdiong air which is what keeps the belts tight on the engine. loose belts means over heating. can't move" 7:19 PM "Scott Fowler is 15 miles north of Springfield, ILL on I-55 at exit 115. looking for help...striking out so far." 9:06 PM "Scott Fowler Well....the first mechanic doesn't seem to know how to do anything but use vulgar language. We have calledin for a 'second opinion. he should be here by 10 PM. Could be a long night. Keep praying." Just wanted to let y'all know so you can be praying too! They may be back on the road before most folks read this.. but it's a big reminder that we need to be praying for the safety of the guys at all times... you never know what they may be facing.

Praise the Lord, they're on the road again!!! Here's Scott's FB update from about 5 minutes ago.. Scott Fowler just leaving the repair shop. A $14 part and were off and finally headed to Sevierville. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and concern. And a special thanks to our friend Barney for showing up on the side of the road last night to try to help us out.

Tim wrote some more about it on the blog tonight if you wanna check it out. Tim has a way of making you laugh even even if he's telling you about something that was very unpleasant . Here's the new Eletter! A bunch of neat things, one of which is a link to the new wepage that Frank and Libbi have set up where we can keep up with them! Legacy Five eLetter November 9, 2009 Greetings! We pray that this letter finds all of our friends happy and healthy. As of Nov. 9th, we have 19 concerts left in 2009. It will be the last time for many of you to see Frank perform with us. For the rest of you, if you'd like an insider's view of life with L5, be sure and follow along on our journal. There's never a dull moment and you'll enjoy reading what we're up to! In this issue, be sure and read about ... A Thank You to our Veterans... SOS... $25 Christmas Special... "Just Stand" - Twice As Nice... What's next for Frank Seamans... Our Schedule for 11/13 - 11/8 A Thank You to our Veterans... Especially in light of recent tragic events, we want to extend our gratitude to those who have served or are serving in the armed forces. By celebrating Veterans Day on November 11th, we show that the sacrifice and scars do not go unnoticed. God bless you! Howie's father, Mr. Ted Howard, served in WW II in the 592 Amphibious Engineers as part of the South Pacific campaign from 1940 to 1945. His first position after enlisting was on the Army baseball team. 5 days short of his discharge, WW II began and Mr. Howard was transferred to his new post. At age 90, Ted still shares detailed stories of his war time service and listening to Howie retell those stories makes me even more appreciative of my country and those who fought to keep her free. If you are a U.S. Veteran then God bless you and God bless America! SOS... We continue to receive contributions to help "Save Our Sunny". There's an exciting offer for you to enter to win the Legacy Five 10'x10' backdrop. Read all about it here Enter today! A huge thank you to each of you who have partnered with us in this transmission fund. You can be part by sending a check to Legacy Five, 128 Holiday Court, Suite 109, Franklin, Tennessee, 37067 or call our office at 615-794-9125 to donate using your credit card. Be sure and indicate: Transmission Fund. This is a great way to show your L5 spirit & contribute to a worthy cause. $25 Christmas Special... Our 2009 Christmas shirt, "I will Not be Silent about that Silent Night", is hitting well with concert goers. If you, too, are weary of the political correctness of the day, this shirt is a must-have. Paired with the pin that states, "It's ok to say Merry Christmas" and our Christmas cd A Little Christmas, these 3 items make up our $25 Christmas Special. This special offer makes a great gift to welcome the season. Click here to order the Christmas Special! The shirt can also be purchased by itself. Be sure and check out our online store to find great music to make this time of year even more special! "Just Stand" - Twice As Nice... We're enjoying the last few concerts with Frank Seamans and have dubbed it his "Goin' Home Day Tour"! (from his great song on the "God's Been Good" album) Since our latest cd Just Stand was just released in September of this year, we've chosen to re-release the cd in 2010 with Gus Gaches on the tenor part. So, here's the deal... Purchase the Frank Seamans edition Just Stand cd at either our concert or online from now to New Year's Eve. Then when the Gus Gaches edition is released in 2010 you may purchase that Just Stand cd for just $10. This offer is only available in concert as you MUST PRESENT the "Frank" version of the cd in person to our product vendor (one of us behind the table!) as proof of purchase. Neither online store purchases nor phone orders qualify for this discount. What's next for Frank Seamans... Many of you have shared such kind words with Frank Seamans as he prepares to leave Legacy Five. For those who want to keep in touch with him, Frank has created a site for you to do so... Click here to go to the page that will let you know what's next for Frank Seamans and updates on Frank Jr. Our Schedule for 11/13 - 11/8 Friday, November 13 - 7:00 PM Immanuel Baptist Church Wausau, WI ph: 715-359-2422 Saturday, November 14 - 7:00 PM West Central School Auditorium Barrett, MN ph: 218-739-0320 Sunday, November 15 - 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM Century Baptist Church Bismarck, ND ph: 701-223-0478 Monday, November 16 - 7:00 PM Christian Center Assembly of God Activity Center Kalispell, MT ph: 406-844-2085 Tuesday, November 17 - 7:00 PM Nampa First Church of the Nazarene Nampa, ID ph: 208-466-3549 Wednesday, November 18 - 7:00 PM Crossroads Church Portland. Legacy Five made it to Seiverville/Pigeon Forge, TN for PraiseFest! They got their bus back on the road about midday yesterday. I'll be posting about their appearances at Praise Fest in the Greater Vision thread.
