I think Edward is less involved in royal duties. To be honest, I don't tend to pay much attention to what they do really. I recall the fuss over him leaving the forces and had respect that he stood up for what he felt was right for him instead of being a wimp and staying. It's one thing to stand up to family ~ he was standing up to the country too.

He and his wife always seem happy. I think both their children (their first certainly) was born at an NHS hospital.

No point in asking us up here! We are as far removed from the Royals as Eskimos are from the jungle!!

I spead a thin layer of Marmite on some large tortilla chips last night and, then, scooped up some thick salsa with them. It was a very unique and tasty experience.

Their children are really cute. There was an adorable picture of Louise saluting from the balcony of the palace. So cute.

We don't hear much about Sophie and Edward, I guess they value their privacy and seeing there is little chance of Edward sitting on the throne there are not many royal appearances for him.
I thought it was a shame he was not allowed to continue on with his TV career. I really enjoyed his series "Crown and Country".
His daughter Louise is lovely isn't she? I have only seen one recent photo of her and she reminds me of Princess Anne when she was a littlie - same blonde curly hair.

cuddles,

Sorry not to be joining in, but I honestly don't really pay much attention to anything the Royals get up to.

Are you watching the X Factor at all? I couldn't remember if you're into it or not.

Drat, there was me trying to find something to use to bring this thread up to the top!

Having just said that I don't pay much attention to anything the Royals get up to - did you hear/did we talk already about Philip's latest gaffe? (lol, he doesn't count - not re gaffes anyway!!)

Philip's gaffe? The one reported on HIGNFY? Or Edward's about the DofE award scheme? I have to admit, I agree with what Edward said, but he could have phrased it better than he did!

Oh yes, we did talk about it already (it was the Patels one). I hadn't heard about Edward's one, I will have to look that up.

I think the point that he was trying to make was that it was attractive because it was their first experiences of being treated as more responsible and adult and learning that their parents weren't always going to be there to wrap them up in cotton wool.

London mayor Boris Johnson has rescued a woman who was being attacked by an armed group of young girls, chasing them down ..........

No cheating and looking the answer up!

Yes, I am definitely looking forward to that!!

Got to remember to record it as well for my ds who is out at the time it's on and will want to watch it when he gets home. So I will probably watch it at the proper time and then once again later on!

It's repeated on BBC3 or 4, though I can't recall what night offhand ~ just incase you forget to record it.
