I may get to see the Freemans this week, and I am SO excited! I've definitely been going through Freeman-withdrawal. CDs and DVDs help but they can only do so much.

I am so happy for you. You'll have to give us a report and tell us all the news. And, do give them all a hug for us.

Tony, Are there any videos of the Freemans singing Sea Walker? I loved the Hinson's rendition but the Freemans still do a great job. I did get to see them last night by the way and, as always, they were fantastic. It was a small group but they sang their hearts out and I felt like, in a way, it was my own personal concert. They sang "Children of the Dust" which is probably my favorite song that they do and I could have cried. In a lot of ways, I long for the day when "then the graves will open and the sainted dead will rise!" But I know God is using me down here and He has blessed me so abundantly that I am content. I just really look forward to seeing Jesus! They also sang "Rise Up" and how anybody stayed in their seats and sat still, I don't know--a very powerful song. I miss the Freemans already but trust God's timing in bringing us together again.

I love the Hinsons but I like how Chris and the Freemans slow things down and build the momentum. We are fortunate to have this on tape from one of their concerts. Watch the crowd's reaction. They know what's coming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLSLrSa3YsU Here's another video from the same concert where they do RISE UP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXEwFeDS5C8

Tony, thank you for keeping up the Freemans' thread. Life has kept me from posting for a while but you're doing a great job. The Freemans are working on a new CD and, judging from the two demos I've heard, it's going to be another great recording. Not sure when it will be released but hopefully by year's end. I'll try to keep you posted.

Not a problem, love our Freemans. I found another one of Misty's songs and one of the Hinson's songs with Chris on lead the other day. Great songs. I'll share the links when I get a chance. That's really great news about the new album. Do let me know when they have something they want on radio and I'll get it added to the station playlist along with the other great Freeman music we play. Btw, when you were at their last concert, did you get to see, and maybe, hold Adelaide Rose? And, finally did you see ifan's prayer request notice? Blessings, Tony

Misty and Addie Rose were not at the concert I attended so I may have to wait another month or so before I see her. I do look forward to holding her. I did see the prayer request after I posted here and emailed Chris to let her know I'm praying. Let's be faithful to do so. Besides praying for Darrell's dad, the Freemans also need a lot of peace and strength right now.

I agree with both of the above posts. I sing He Chose Me a lot and thank God that He did just that. I'm also really enjoying the "old" live recordings. Those were the days I used to only dream of seeing them in concert. Now I can!!! Isn't God good?!

Powerful song. Reminds me of a song L5 does on their Monuments CD. Not That He Died - Legacy Five http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ6fzBd-3wM Both songs speak of God's unfathomable mercy shown to us mere mortals.

For those who haven't heard, Darrell's dad died Saturday. The funeral is Wednesday. Let's keep The Freemans in our prayers. They've had so much heartache in their lives but are a tremendous example of God's grace.
