I thought it might be nice to have a place where we could pray for our enemies.
But I say to you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven;
for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?
And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so?
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
Matthew 5:44-48
Father, I recognize that in my lifetime I have made enemies that I don't even know about.
Perhaps I have wronged someone or circumstances brought about a grudge.
I lift them up in prayer, may they forgive me and no longer hold on to their anger.
If they do not yet know You, may they seek Your face and may You deliver them by the blood of Your Son Jesus.
If I am still holding a grudge of anger, please bring this to my knowledge that I may be able to forgive and pray for them as well.
I pray in the name of our Savior Jesus the Messiah; To GOD be the glory. Amen.

Father,
Thank you that prayn4u started this prayer thread. It is especially timely for me in that a person from the past has today contacted me. I have been hoping that I've forgiven this person for the suffering he has caused me back in th mid 90s. Now, when he came across my path on a website (not this one) today, I hesitated to respond to him, remembering the abusiveness and the suffering.
Please forgive him of the harm that he caused and help me to forgive him. Clean my mind and make the memories painless. If I have done harm to him, please forgive me. If he thinks I have done harm to anyone he knows, please resolve his perceptions and forgive me if he is right...vindicate me if his perceptions are wrong.
Thank you for your mercy and for your amazing grace.
In Jesus Christ's name I thank you and pray this. Amen.

Yes Lord ... I'm in agreement too ...
And Lord, You know I don't see my hubby as my enemy but he has described me as such ... that hurts Lord. I pray for him today for Your blessing and peace to fall upon him, for him to be encouraged and helped today, whatever he is doing.

Dear Lord,
You have told us in your word to pray for our enemies. It's not easy, Lord, but you wouldn't have told us to do it if it wasn't important. I lift up to you my ex-husband. He has harassed me for years openly admitting that his desire was to make my life miserable. He has tried to use my children in this thing and hurt them over and over again until they have emotional scars that only you can heal. But he is lost and unhappy and I ask Lord that you would work in his life so that he can know you. Help him to see the wrong in the things that he does and give him a change of heart and turn his life around. I also pray for another enemy who does hurtful things to my daughter and I in your house Lord. I pray you would also give her a change of heart. Hurting people hurt others, I ask for healing in both of these lives and the strength to continue to forgive them. Please Lord, could I also ask you for protection from them, they do mean us harm and we need your covering. Please don't let them hinder our ministry and walk with you. In Jesus name, amen.

Everlasting Father, I thank You for hearing our cry and that we may come to You for counsel.
It is so hard sometimes for me to acknowledge that I still bear grudges.
But You have searched my heart and know this. Please forgive me.
Thank You for giving me the strength, humility and the desire to overcome this.
For You have loved me continually despite the many times in my past when I was Your enemy, when I ignored and persecuted You.
Help me to love this person as You have loved me. May my life be a blessing to him and not a curse. Please bless him LORD and help him to know that You do love him and may he find the truth that is the way to You.
Father, I also lift all who have prayed for their own particular situation up in prayer in the Precious Magnificent Name of Jesus; to GOD be the glory now and forever. Amen.

Out of obedience Heavenly Father, I forgive T. I know she doesn't have You in her life, therefore she struggles to survive in her own way, doing the things she does to preserve herself. When I see the harm caused I am cut to the core. But I am certain that Your love for her is just as strong as Your love for me. That is hard to swallow most of the time. But I know when I have caused pain to others, I was grateful for that knowledge. Sometimes I just can't wait to be home with You so suffering and struggle will end. Like the parable of the workers, who are all paid the same wage, even though some didn't work the whole day, I do see that if nothing else, at this point I have the peace of KNOWING I AM YOURS and that my eternity is secure. I pray she finds You Lord so she can heal, and be saved. Forgive me.

Help me to forgive those who have hurt me in the past
Forgive me of the wrongs that I have committed to others past and present, for I am not perfect either.
Help me to forget the wrongdoings and move forward.
I can't do this alone.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I want to praise Your Holy name today. I have asked for Your forgiveness and You have granted it to me freely. So then Lord, as freely as I have received, so freely I must give.
I pray Father that You would help me to forgive those who have hurt me in the past. I release them to You from the prison of my mind and heart. I do not want to hold them in anger or frustration any longer. This day Lord, I give up my unforgiveness toward them and ask You to bless them in whatever way You know they have need of. I also ask You dear Father to forgive me for harboring resentment and bitterness toward others. I release that too, in Jesus name.
Forgive me Father for I have sinned against You by not forgiving my enemies. I do forgive them now, and no longer call them my enemies. They may not want to be my friend, but as far as I know, they are still brothers and sisters in Christ and I will not hold them in unforgiveness.
Thank You Father God for helping me to release, forgive, have peace, and most of all... love.
In the precious and wonderful name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

We all come across poeple who don't like us or do something to us that hurts and Lord you know how hard that can be. For then the devil get a foot in our door then we get angry or mad.
Jesus you told us we must pray for our enemies and to love them. I ask you Father to help each one of us to do just that, Cover us all with your precious blood don't let the devil get a foot hole. May we all say in your Word so that we can put on your whole Armor, May you give each and everyone of us a peaceful and loving Spirit, so that we can become more like you Jesus. We Thank-you for answering our prayers.

Father, I pray for all the Christians who are persecuted for their faith whether by family, friends, foes, strangers, groups or nations.
Please provide them with strength to carry on the good fight and the meekness to forgive.
Bless these persecutors, bless them with Your will in their lives and may they know that these merciful blessings comes from You; that they may know You are LORD. We pray in the name of our bread of life, Jesus; to GOD be the glory now and forever. Amen.

Dear Lord,
I have a problem with someone, I don't care how much I try to hide it from other people, I can't hide it from you. This person has mistreated someone very dear to me. I'm so sorry for all the opportunities you have given me to do just that show love and I've missed them. Everytime I forgive, something new happens and I'm just having a problem showing love to someone who can be so cruel and hurtful, and I really need your help. You said to love your enemies and do good to them that despitefully use you. It's not my place to punish this person or give conditions on kindness, it's my place to love and forgive and be kind when there is nothing I get in return, that is what you have done, and it's something I can't really do without you, so that is my prayer today. In Jesus Name I pray, amen.

Today I want to pray for those who have caused me and my family pain.
I pray that You will draw them to Your heart and lead any who are lost to salvation through Jesus.

Father,
Thank you for your amazing grace. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you that Jesus said "Forgive them for they know not what they do". Please give us the mind of Jesus Christ—such love that we readily forgive any enemy. We pray this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

Lord,
You are so far above us in purity and love and strength that I cannot even fathom forgiveness the way that you are able to forgive. The things people have done to me are nothing beside what people have done and do to you each and every day. I think so many times of things I see and how people are still doing the same sort of things they did to you when you walked this earth, yet you forgive and you showed then and now love to your enemies. Lord I can't forgive and love like I should without your help, so I ask for that love and compassion and forgiveness for others for those who have hurt me and my children. I ask Lord that you would protect us from those who would harm us, but also that you would move on their hearts and in their lives and save them so they won't be enemies anymore, but friends. In Jesus name, I pray, amen
