I want to lose some weight so I can gain some weight during the holidays. Bet you've never heard that before, huh?

So, I've decided to try short-burst interval training and it is tough. I've been doing this for almost a week and going to give it a couple more to see if it makes a difference. Running at a slower speed for 30 minutes is so boring but doing all out bursts for about a minute with a break and doing about 6 to 8 intervals like this seems to be just what I need to be skinny just in time for turkey day.

This morning, I finally made it outside for a couple of laps around the track (about a mile). Not much, but I have a LOT to do today.

I saw the most beautiful pink sunrise from the pool this morning while doing my workout. It was truly beautiful as I swam bathed in a pink light. Thank you God!

TruthRevealed - that's a lot of hard work! Good job!!!

42ServeHymn - that sounds very beautiful. Our God has surely created many things that leave me in awe.

I got my 1/2 hour on the fretmill.

Thanks. I need to not negate my efforts with my diet though I thought I might be at a comfortable weight, only needing to tone-up but the plan is to loose 15 more pounds by summer.

Last night I managed 45 mins: exercise bike, leg toning, abs

I'm curious to know what exercise any of you find challenging? My endurance is pretty good with cardio but anything involving my legs is still painful, i.e lunges. Those things are a monster!

I don't mind any exercise while I am doing it.

Try doing too many squats and lunges and then see what happens the next day. LOL Which something like that is on the schedule for today.

Went down to the pool today for my hour workout. I tried a little bit of interval work. I water walk the width of the pool. It is not actually walking as I am in deep water but it is more like a cross country skiing movement. The first time I went to the pool I planned to do 20 widths but got too tired after 10. I am now up to 80 widths. I also do some other exercises for leg and arm work. Today I wanted to step it up a bit so I would push HARD for 4 laps then do the next 4 at regular pace. I am hoping this will give better results. I plan to get to 100 reps before the end of the year

Hello! I am still around... I am doing some work out, but I need to get back on track. My goal is to be doing a short work out in the AM (maybe yoga or skating) for 15-20 min to help me want to eat better! :)

I am blowing it with eating. :(

Last week I did 1 day run, 1 day step class and then Sunday we did a 12 mile bike ride. Fun. :)

Today run.... I will go to the gym no matter how tired or cold I am or how late I get off work work!

I was not able to do much running on Wed. Bad shin splints! Yikes! I am hoping things will be better.

I did a step class yesterday and I am going running tonight.

My goal is to get up and go to the gym on Sat morning. I need to get the extra day in.

Yesterday I think I accomplished 20 mins on bike and "abs." Today, much better; 90 mins of strength, abs, leg toning, arms, cardio
