A couple more, 'cause they're so funny:

Mrs. Feeney shouted from the kitchen, 'Is that you I hear spittin' in the vase on the mantel piece?'
'No,' said himself, 'but I'm gettin' closer all the time.'

'O'Halloran,' asked the pharmacist, 'did that mudpack I gave you improve your wife's appearance?'
'It did surely,' replied O'Halloran, 'but it keeps fallin' off.'

You are correct, my friend. Thanks for pointing out that I lost my subscription to my own thread. How that happened, I have no idea.

Unless there is a great hue and cry (1. A public clamor, as of protest or demand.) in the next few hours, I am going to take Kath up on her offer to move me, lock, stock and barrel, to PFY.

Most of the SG posters in this thread have moved on, and it might be easier for my friends to find this thread over there.

If I move, I do expect a hue and cry (2. The pursuit of a felon announced with loud shouts to alert others who were then legally obliged to give chase.)

I don't know about being legally obliged but I'll give chase.

Exactly! I hope everyone subs to it so they don't lose it.

I will leave a trace though.

Thanks.

Just leave the casseroles, cookies and pies on the porch if I'm not home.

Hi Kerr!

I'm about to snack on a loaf of Italian bread sliced and filled with garlic butter, and a half gallon of lemonade.

Just as soon as I finish my coffee.

I don't think I'll finish the loaf.
