Great job on the Hormel! Make sure you hit up Walgreens today for their Friends and Family sale. Print 15% off coupon here. I'm looking forward to some pretty good deals tonight.

Great job, guys!! Do you know about the Target gift card deals? You get a $5 gift card wyb 2 Venus Breeze/Spa Breeze or Gillette Fusion Razors. You get another $5 gift card wyb 3 Olay Body Wash Bonus packs. Do the deal like this for the least oop: 3 Venus - 6.99 1 Fusion - 6.99 3 Olay - 5.50 = 44.46. minus 3 - $2 off Venus = 6 1 - $4 off Fusion = 4 3 - Free Olay wyb Venus = 5.50 Total out of pocket = 17.96 + tax Earn $15 in gift cards for a net oop of 2.96. If you have more coupons, you can roll this deal into itself. There's also a $15 P&G rebate on Olay products AND you can send off for a $100 coupon booklet from P&G when you buy $50 in P&G products. Just make sure you ask for duplicate receipts because both rebates require the original. If you only do the deal once, add some other P&G item to the transaction to get the coupon booklet.

Thanks for posting this deal. I did know about the gift card deal on instant oatmeal. If you bought 5 cups for $1.02, you got a $5.00 gift card, so almost free. I bought 10 and received the $5.00 gift card.

I just got an e-mail from P&G and they are doing a deal for coupons. If you buy $50 of P&G items by sometime in April, send in the receipts and a form and they will mail you $100 in coupons. Here is the link...... ETA...I see someone else posted this already.

I'm afraid not; I've never found coupons for the things I like to buy. We do a lot of cooking/eating from scratch and bulk purchases.

Our cats are very picky and one gets sick a lot ... so we have found that Purina One for sensitve systems is the only thing that generally stays down. So last week I went to the Petsmart web site and saw that Purina One was on sale for $16.99 for the 16 lb bag, which lasts our cats FOREVER. I then saw an ad in this weeks paper that said it was on for $19.95 ... $2 more than the web site said. Even with the $3 coupon, I'd still be paying too much. So I took a printout with me along with the $3 coupon in the paper. They gave it to me for the same price advertised. Oh, and they also gave me a $3 coupon in exchange for a survey. Since the coupon is a mfg. coupon I'm assuming I can use BOTH while the cat food is still on sale ... so since I WORK at the paper, I found 3 more coupons. Last time I stocked up like this was in September, and the food lasted all the way until now!

ORIGINAL: MamaAng Does anyone get tired of couponing and give it a break? I feel like of wiped out on coupons. I do use store ads to buy what is on sale, but the sorting of coupons can be so daunting at times. I know what you mean about sorting. You just have to find a system that works for you. When I first started this, I would clip every coupon from every insert. I'd file the ones I was going to use in the coupon binder I carry with me everywhere and the others would go into another binder that I'd set out at work for my coworkers to go through. Needless to say, this got old pretty quick. I switched my system up. I keep a hanging file box in the trunk of my car. Unless the coupons coming out aren't very interesting, I buy 8 papers each Sunday. I collate each insert and clip only coupons I think I'm going to use to put into the binder that I carry. The rest, I leave in the insert and write the date on the front cover. I file these inserts in the file box by type. (Smart Source, Red Plum/Valassis, Proctor & Gamble, General Mills) If I come across a good sale, I check the coupon database I keep as an Excel file to locate the insert the coupon is in. I pull it from my files, clip and shop. This is also the reason I keep the box in the car. If I come across a clearance section that can be combined with coupons I can take advantage of the find without having to run home, find the coupon and come back. I also like the insert method because when people report good deals and coupon match ups, they generally mention the insert and date. If there isn't a sale, then I haven't wasted time on clipping coupons that I have no chance of needing. In terms of the sales themselves, I'm finding that I get natural breaks due to the sales cycles. I don't use everything that ever goes on sale, so I end up getting a few light weeks here and there to take a break from couponing. I do miss it if the break is too long. I kinda look at this more like a game than anything else. The goal is to see how much stuff I can get for the least amount out of pocket. This week was a pretty good week. I got 12 bottles of laundry detergent for free and I joined a credit union with a rebate check.

I go in cycles, our linen closet is so full of toiletries, cold meds, and tissues that I've pretty much stopped buying those items. I still use coupons for groceries, but I haven't done a massive stock up in awhile. Usually just when Kroger has a mega sale. Ryanne, I have a ton of tooth care, hair care and cold meds. I had so much that I gave some to our Community Services because it all wouldn't fit in my cupboard. I haven't done a massive stock up lately either, and I don't have the energy at this point.

More often than not, the cats will roll. I'm getting the Foster Farms chicken strips from Smart and Final. They're $5.99 and I have lots of $1 off coupons.

I'm getting in on that deal at my local Vons. My freezer will be a lot more full for a very cheap price. Oooh I didn't know about the pullups deal, Ofa, thanks! BTW, "Pick another checkout lane, honey..." is still cracking me up.

They didn't carry the chicken I wanted. So I think I'm going to do this deal at Ralphs. I know they carry the strips, I'm just not positive they're the ones on sale. I have a $10 coupon from them that I've been trying to burn. If that doesn't work, I'm going to move on to Vons. I'm really excited about the $.99 Fresh Express Salad and the Marie's dressing is free. I'm thinking the free dressing is a great filler because you have to buy the items in multiples of 5 to get the discount. AND....Albertsons is doubling coupons through the 16th. I'm really excited about that one because they never double. The icing on the cake is that the doubles cap is at $2. Not $1 like Vons/Ralphs!!!
