Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving
and His courts with praise;
give thanks to Him and praise His name.
For the Lord is good and His love
endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through
all generations.

Psalm 100

What are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for good friends who go out of the way for me. I'm thankful for good friends for my children too.

I am thankful for life: laughing, running, dancing, resting, hugging people, working, breathing--the whole shebang!

It is really amazing and I totally take it for granted most days, and even complain that it's too hard sometimes, but it is totally incredible to be a living being.

"In him we live, and move, and have our being...."- a song based on a passage in Acts (I think) where Paul is preaching about the invisible, unknown-to-the-Greeks Living God.

I am thankful for so many things that it's impossible to write them all down here, but what it boils down to is that I am thankful that the Lord has chosen me and that He gives us power for living and for helping others.

Had a GREAT visit with Cindy and Melissa last evening. So I'm thankful for good friends! All too early this morning the alarm went off. After fighting with the stupid thing, I'm thankful to have a friend who is smarter than me who could shut the stupid thing off! It was hard to leave Melissa's this morning, but alas I had a race! I knew all along that this race was iffy, as I was going into it injured. I had a very good start--no pain!!! However, the longer I ran, the more it hurt. I ended up DNFing at mile 7. I looked up, and there was dh. I was NOT expecting him to be at the race, especially not at the extact point I DNFed. So I am very thankful that he was there when I was at my lowest.

I am back home after a very difficult drive back home. Uh, it's my right ankle giving me all the issues. Not feeling very thankful right now, though. I'm done running for a good while as this thing heals.

What is DNFeding? I'm glad your husband was there for you, His. Very good timing.

DNF? Did not finish? I'm sorry, Hazel. I am glad dh was there for you though. Praying for a good healing for you!

I am most thankful for God's purposes being accomplished in my life, and that it is His strength that carries me through all of life.

In the homeschooling area, I am so thankful that God has given us a joy in hsing. I am not worried about things like I used to be, Brian is here to help me with schooling and discipline, and we are growing closer as a family. God is so good to us.

I am thankful for my family, but mostly thankful for the Lord being there for me and continuously getting me through some very rough times, and I'm thankful that he's going to keep getting me through those times

His ~ I am so sorry that you did not finish! That is a bummer! But what a nice surprise that your hubby was there! Sometimes, when you least expect it...

I am thankful for lots of things... how very far we have come in our marriage this year, for having a home where we have room to play and explore, for good friends, for having good health (even on the days when it does not feel like I do!), and for having my Lord!!

I am thankful for all that the Lord has blessed me with. I am learning to be thankful even in the midst of trials and tribulations.

Aww, His, what a bummer. I'm glad your hubby was there, though.

I'm thankful for family (especially my new baby sister! ), good friends, good health, and a God who loves me.

I am thankful for my husband and my children and a place to stay... not that long ago our business failed, and we lost our home so it's nice to be under our "own roof" so to speak.

I'm thankful for our house, and my wonderful family, and our church family, and just the way God has provided so much for us.

I'm not moderating anymore as of this month (although Fritz hasn't taken away my powers just yet) so I decided to join this chat thread again. I like to a part of at least one chat thread.

Thanks. It's the one I usually join when I have time.

I just took an assessment of the Baroque Period for my Music Appreciation course I'm taking, and got 91%. That course has some of the hardest tests of any of the classes I am taking this semester.

Sounds like you are studying some really interesting stuff.

My brain won't work. I have ben running since I got up this morning. Got th van inspected, ran home and drew up some campaign posters. took the kids to speech therapy, ran home and painted the posters with my mom, and then we hurried to the sign waving for Doug Hoffman, visited the area HQ, came home and ate my hubby's wonderful cooking (the first time tha I had eaten today), got the kids ready for bed and am now relaxing.

Here is my dilema... Hy hands, ear, back and feet ache really bad and I have the beginnings of a migraine. Do I take IB Prophin for my aches and pains or do I take excedrine for my migraine? I am having trouble deciding and Russ isn't home yet so I can't ask him.

Congrats, Lisa, and I'm glad you're back.

I've been having fun just hanging out at Melissa's today . . . I am taking her to an appointment at 0-dark-30 tomorrow morning, so we decided it made more sense to just stay here.

Take the ibuprofen, Ellie.

No really, I am thankful that my husband has a job that pays enough for me to be able to stay home with ds, and friends and family.

OK, everybody please note the time of this post. Yes, I have already been to bed. I got up at this awful hour.

Now that you've picked yourself up off the floor . . .

It's all Melissa's fault.

I'm taking her to see a neuro-opthamologist at the hospital this morning. Could you all please pray that he figures out what's wrong and finds a way to help her? Thanks.

Yes, it sure is. It's rather funny reading about how history repeats itself over and over. Did you know that polyphonic music (music that has many independent parts singing together at the same time, like in Handel's Messiah) was almost banned by the Church? It was considered worldly. At the time the only "godly" music was Gregorian Chants. It just strikes me as funny.
