A few years ago I posted a question about 3 lps that I found with this name, the Lordsmen. I did not get much in the way of info. Recently I came across the cds I made from those lps and got curious about the group. Here is what I have: The Greatest Love Letter" "Where The Flowers Bloom Forever" "Skywatching" At the time I just copied them over to cds and put the cds and lps up. Now I am trying to import the cds to my pc. I like to have some info on the bands I import. The first one has a Clayton GA address for bookings; the second has a Franklin NC address. Members listed are: The Greatest Love Letter Lyden Childers, lead Randy Bryson, baritone Dave Braswell, tenor Doug Battles, bass Where The Flowers Bloom Forever *same as the first three above & Richard Brayer, piano *there is no mention of a bass singer, although 5 men are pictured on the cover. I can't find the "Skywatching" lp...althought just listening to the cd it sounds like the same group as the firist two lps. The lps were done professionally with studio musicians and the lp jacket is also a professional job. I was on Ebay on found several more recordings by a qt that seems to be the same one. However, there were at least recording by what appeared to be two different groups with the same name. There is also a current group with that name, but reading on their site leads me to believe that they are not the same group that I am looking for. Any ideas?

All three albums are by the same Lordsmen group. I know Dave & Lynden lived in GA & Randy lived in NC at the time they were singing which I think was in the l980s. I don't remember Doug Battles because most of the time it was just Randy, Dave & Lynden. Don't remember the piano player. Unfortunately they no longer sing together. Dave moved up north somewhere & have no idea where Lynden got to. Randy was still in NC not long ago. I don't know if they did any more albums besides the ones you mentioned....I'm thinking they didn't. They were a very talented group of young men & I only have the three albums also.

I know Randy did work for UPS & I think he lived in Sylva, NC. I did a search on his name & there is a listing for a Randy Bryson in Sylva. Don't know if it is the same one or not but I would say it is. The # given is 828-586-3213. If that is not him you might contact Marshall Henson in Franklin, NC at Marshall Henson Wholesale Tire Co. Before singing with the Lordmen Randy sang with Marshall. I'm sure he could point you in the right direction. I think Dave sang with him too. Another little tidbit that I remembered was that Lynden played with the Inspirations for a short time before the Lordmen.

I am mailing him a letter tomorrow the 14th. I thought about calling but having worked for the UPS myself I know how busy they are this time of year.

I used to know Randy, many moons ago. He sang with Marshall Henson & The Temples. Prior to that as a teenager he sang with The Revelations Quartet. I would be interested as well, to know his where-abouts. I have LP's of him with both groups. Would have been in the mid-70's.
